Bryan Ayers Dies After Heart Attack
NASHVILLE - William Bryan Ayers, 67, of Morgantown route 3, died of a heart attack at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Bean Blossom lumber yard where he had gone to buy lumber.
Mr. Ayers was born in Brown county Aug. 20, 1897, to Edmund and Georgia E. Baker Ayers, and was a veteran of the first world war. He had worked as a shoe repairman at Thrift shoe store in Indianapolis.
Survivors include his wife, the former Eva Mount, whom he married June 23, 1923, two sons, Herman Ayers of Indianapolis and James Ayers of Shiloh, Ga.; five daughters, Mrs. Monta Jean Spurgeon of North Vernon, Mrs. Carmen Powell of Cincinnati, Mrs. Frances Wilson of Bloomington, Mrs. Dolly Harden of Nashville route 1, and Mrs. Marie Graham of Indianapolis; two brothers, Garland and Albert Ayers of Nashville route 2; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Shepherd of Nashville route 2, Mrs. Bertha Bradley of Nashville route 1 and Mrs. Elizabeth Schultz of Columbus and 24 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bond funeral home in Nashville by the Rev. Wallace Allender. Burial will be at Mount Zion cemetery. Persons may call at the funeral home after 6 o'clock tonight.
