John C. Burns Dies At Beulah

John C. Burns, 68, a resident of the
district of Beulah for 61 years, died
at his home in Beulah Tuesday morning.
Mr. Burns was born June 19, 1881, in
West Virginia, and was brought to the
district by his parents when he was 7
years old. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Burns was a member of the Baptist
Church.
Surviving are the widow of the home;
six sons, George Burns, Donald Burns,
Harold Burns, Willard Burns, Roy Burns,
and Joe Burns, Mrs. Anna Sterling of
Pittsburg; Mrs. June McCormack of
Pittsburg; Mrs. Alice Cherry and Miss
Norma Burns, both of Beulah; a sister,
Mrs. Minnie Dietz, of Weir, two brothers,
Elmer Burns of Weir and Frank Burns of
Hollyrood, Kas., and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.
yesterday at the Beulah Community Church
with Rev. Mae Haskins officiating.
Interment was in the McCune cemetery.
