  Born Dec. 27, 1890, Fremont, Wayne County, to Thomas P. and Sarah Jane John Rees. Married Mandy Melvina Bastian Oct. 4, 1911, Salt Lake LDS Temple; she died June 23, 1969. Farmer, grist mill operator. Member of Loa Town Board two terms.
  Survivors: sons, daughters, Norman P., Antone B., both Loa; Mrs. Rex (LaPreal) Forsyth, Teasdale, Wayne County; Mrs. Loen (Harriet) Morrell, Mrs. Orin (Inez) White, both Salt Lake City; Mrs. Betty Jean Chappell, Lyman, Wayne County; Mrs. Elmer (Beverly) Davis, Boise; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brother, sisters, Nephi, Mrs. Donald (Lucile) Torgerson, Mrs. Thurland (Mary) Blackburn, all Salt Lake City; Mrs. Clyde (Ethel) Herron, Glendale, Calif.
  Funeral Wednesday 1 p.m., Wayne Stake Tabernacle. Friends call at the family home Tuesday evening, Wednesday prior to service. Burial, Loa Cemetery.
