LaPreal is the daughter of Parley Rees and Amanda Melvina Bastian. She married Rex ForsytheLaPreal Forsyth 1912 - 2007

TEASDALE, UTAH - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, LaPreal Rees Forsyth, age 94, died April 14, 2007 in Mayfield, Utah.

She was born July 5, 1912 in Loa, Utah, a daughter of Parley and Mandy Melvina Bastian Rees. She grew up in Loa. She married Rex Forsyth, May 9, 1934 in Loa, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple May 20, 1937. Rex died Nov. 13, 1983.

LaPreal is survived by her two daughters: Maxine and Russell Turner of Taylorsville; Norma Dean Griffiths of Teasdale; four grandchildren: Debra Dean (Shawn Huffman) Turner, Rex and Carolyn Griffiths, Bradley Turner and Lora Johnson; eight great-grandchildren; one sister: Betty Jean and Alfonzo Turner of Lyman; sister-in-law: Faun Rees of Loa. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and three sisters: Norman Rees, Bash Rees, Harriett Morrell, Inez White and Beverly Davis.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Teasdale Cultural Hall, where friends may call for viewing Thursday morning from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Teasdale Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
