GREENVILLE - Katie Austin Irwin, 85, a saleswoman for Sterling Stores, died of heart failure Saturday at King's Daughter's Hospital. Services are 4 p.m. today at Poplar Creek Nations Church with burial in Poplar Creek Cemetery. Boone-Wells Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Irwin was a Montgomery County native. She graduated form Montgomery County school in Kilmichael. She was a member of Gamari Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include: daughter, Kathy Thompson of Avon; sons, Paul Irwin and Guy Irwin, both of Carthage; brother Noel Austin of West Point; and 20 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.
