EFFIE E. JUDY
Effie Evelyn Judy, 73, of Paca Street, Cumberland, died Wednesday, December 11, 1996 at the Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit.
Born May 27, 1923, in Mount Jackson, VA., she was the daughter of the late William Nelson and Clara L. Beddows Fadley. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Judy, in 1987.
Mrs. Judy was employed at Microdyne in the electronics division for 15 years. She was a former employee of Penn State University. She was a member of the United Brethren Church.
Surviving are one son, James Robert Carr and wife Diane, Fountain, W. Va.; three daughters, Juanita Judy and husband James, Petersburg, W. Va., Joyce N. Morris and Husband Stanley, Fort Ashby, W. Va., and Rayette L. Evans and husband Robert, Cumberland; one brother, Marshall B. Fadley LaVale; one sister, Julia Porter, Cumberland; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
At Mrs. Judy's request, she was cremated.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland on Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Brown officiating.
