Ralph "Buck" [Fadley] Brady 1919-1993

Excerpt From "The Root Cellar" by Gary Fadley:

Born in 1919, Buck was a baby or toddler in the Fadley house at least as early as 1920, and he had Fadley brothers and sisters.

Then, when he was only 10, he was listed as Ralph Fadley in the 1930 Census.
Next, he registered for the draft as Ralph Fadley in 1940.

Then, several newspaper articles throughout the 1940's and 1950's referred to him as Ralph Fadley.

Additionally, this writer is Buck's nephew, his brother's son, who knew Buck Fadley and who can testify that, within the family, he was known only as Buck Fadley.

By the time he was a middle-aged man, however, he had reverted back to the name of Brady. When I talked to his son about it, his son simply suggested that Buck might have had some personal reasons for taking advantage of having two names.
As Shakespeare's Juliet said, what's in a name? Ralph Brady is Ralph Fadley.
