Marshall B. "Tito" Fadley
March 26, 1934 - February 10, 2018
LAVALE--Marshall "Tito" Fadley, 83, of LaVale, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at West Virginia University Hospital Trauma Center.
He was welcomed into Heaven by our Lord Jesus and into the loving arms of his wife who had been waiting patiently for him to join her again. All his pain and sorrow are finally gone.
Born in Cumberland, on March 26, 1934, Tito was the son of the late William Nelson Fadley and Clara Beddows Fadley.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Naomi Jean Fadley.
As the last surviving member of his immediate family, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Effie Judy, and Julia Porter; and his brothers, Fred Fadley Sr., John Fadley, and Ralph "Buck" Brady.
Tito was proud of his service in the Army, 10th Infantry Regiment, during the Korean War, where he received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Army Occupation Medal.
After the service, Tito went to work doing construction for many years as a member of the Teamsters Union, 453.
After retirement, he went back to work for a few years, but was mostly known about town for his landscaping skills which caused his wife to laugh when telling him one of his "ladies" was calling to get her grass cut. So often people would tell his son and daughter they had seen Tito driving in town in his famous red Ford truck with lawn mower in back and his constant companion and best friend Shadow hanging her head out the window, barking at anything and everything.
He loved the summer months and enjoyed many activities, but his favorite pastime was skillpool, which he shot for at least 60 years. He was a member of the Cumberland Men's Skillpool League, currently shooting for the Moose. His memberships also included ABATE of Western Maryland, Kennels Mill Sportsman Club, Cumberland Moose, Cross Roads Sportsman Club, American Legion Post 13, Cumberland Democrat Club, and Cresaptown Eagles.
He and his wife had attended First Church of God in Cumberland and had made many wonderful and lifelong friends there. The people from the Church opened their arms to his family at this sad time and offered up comfort and assistance when needed most. The kindness and love from so many during these past days will never be forgotten by his children and grandchildren.
Tito was a friend to many, but most importantly, he was a loving husband and a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Surviving are his children, Marsha Wolford and Steven Fadley; grandchildren, Aaron K. Wolford Jr. and his sweet wife, Rosemary, and Justin Wolford; great-grandchildren, Raevyn Wolford, Drake Wolford, Zalie Wolford, Jared Wolford, Kaden Wolford, Alicia Dove, and Ben Stevens; and special honorary granddaughters, LeAnn Neilson and Kelli Wolford.
He is also survived by a very special angel, his sister-in-law, Mary Louise Simpson; and "like a brother" brother-in-law, William "Sonny" Simpson; and his best friend and & "grumpy old men" cohort, brother-in-law, Harold Border.
He had many nieces and nephews from the Fadley side of the family, as well as the Border side, whom he loved dearly and considered them the same as his own children.
The family would like to thank the quick response by the LaVale Rescue Squad, Jennifer Mason and her team.
They would also like to acknowledge the heroic efforts of the Western Maryland Health System Trauma Unit, especially Dr. Baum, his nurses, and staff, and the West Virginia University Hospital Trauma Unit, where nurse, Heather, was of great comfort.
During our shock and grief, the doctors and nurses at both facilities did their best to explain and help us through this ordeal with great compassion and kindness.
It is true that life can change in the blink of an eye, so we all should remember to tell those we love they matter as often as possible and cherish the time we have with one another for as long as we can.
May God bless all of us left behind and give us comfort and peace.

Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
