BENJAMIN (Benny) A. ROGERS (Republican), Representative from Christian County; born near Perryton, Texas, January 24, 1916, educated in the public schools of Ochiltree County, Texas and Christian County, Mo.; graduated from Sparta, Mo., high school attended Draughn's Business College and Southwest Missouri Teachers College, Springfield, Mo. Drove a school bus while attending high school and college. On September 23, 1939, he was married to Miss Eileen Chaundoin at Mt. Vernon Mo. He worked in the western states during the wheat harvest for several summers.

He is an attorney with offices at 617 Commerce Building, Kansas City. Active in Democratic politics, he is a member of the First Regular Democratic Club of Kansas City. Elected to the House of Representatives in 1936 and re-elected in 1938 and 1940. In the 60th General Assembly he served as chairman of the Committee on Wills and Probate. In the 61st General Assembly he served as chairman of the Committee on Insurance and as a member of the following other committees: Employees and Clerical Force; Appropriations; Judiciary; Official Salaries and Fees; Municipal Corporations; Railroads and Internal Improvements.
