Vivian taught school at Bruner after graduating from Sparta High School. She worked in several jobs that included aircraft assembly during WW II, Royal McBee Typewriters, US Postal Service, assisted-living housing management, and Silver Dollar City. She was also a lifelong member of Church of Christ in several communities.
Upon retirement in California, Glen and Vivian moved to Kimberly City, where they quickly became part of that community and entertained guests and grandchildren on their pontoon boat at Table Rock Lake. They moved to Springfield and became members of Union Hill Church of Christ where she had many friends and support.
Vivian loved her family, Christmas, holidays, and sleepovers were special for the grandkids. She enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, puzzles and participating in DAR and SAR organizations. She and Glen were snowbirds for several years.
Vivian is survived by brother Pletcher Rogers, daughter Glenda Condict (Tom) of Neosho, Missouri; sons Gary Johns (Karen) of Davis, California and Kelly Johns, of Nixa, Missouri; and grandchildren Stephanie Loutzenhiser, Jennifer Johns, Tonna Powers, Tyson and Tarren Condict, Tennile Feldman, Jason Johns, Janis Wrather, and Lindsay Johns. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glen Johns and nine siblings.
