Mrs. Frank Turner, well known resident of Princeville community passed away Monday morning at the home south of town, following an illness of four months' duration.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church here, conducted by Rev. Alexander Lewis. Interment was in the Princeville cemetery. Pallbearers were Ed Colgan, Ed Purcell, Dewey Smith, Ivan Johnson, Wm. Bouton and Joe Camp. Ms. Harold Hall gave the song service. Songs were "Abide with Me," "Rock of Ages" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."
Edith Slyvesta Barrett was born near Dunlap on July 6, 1885, the daughter of Margaret Harrison and Flaviuos Barrett. She was married to Frank Turner Dec. 11,1902, in Peoria.
Surviving are her husband and the following children: Harold Turner of Kickapoo, Ellis Turner of Princeville, Mrs. Ruby Wilson of Peoria, Mrs. Neva Hoffman of Princeville, Mrs. Elsie Aby of Kewanee, Mrs. Viola Raehn of Peoria, Mrs. Helen Rink of Peoria, and Norman Peoria. Also surviving are eight sisters and three brothers. They are: Mrs. Fred Burns of Princeville, Mrs. Clarence Martzluf of Chillicothe, Mrs. Edward Garner of Alta, Mrs. Worsfold of Alta, Mrs. Jake Martzluf of Brimfield, Mrs. Paul Heinholdt of Dunlap, John Barrett of Wyoming, Leonard Barrett of Princeville and Oswald Barrett of Dunlap. There are ten grandchildren.
Mrs. Turner was active and faithful member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
