PEORIA -- Stella E. Carlin, 95, formerly of 707 NE Madison died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria County. Born Oct. 6, 1908, in rural Dunlap to Flavius and Margaret Harrison Barrett, she married Paul S. Reinhold on Dec. 24, 1929, in Peoria. She later married John F. Carlin on April 10, 1951. He died Feb. 11, 1960. She also was preceded in death by one son, Delbert E. Reinhold; five brothers; and seven sisters. Surviving are one son, Ivan Reinhold of Peoria Heights; one daughter, Betty (and Jack) Rhodes of Peoria, five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Friendship House, R.S.V.P. and the Women's League of the Salvation Army.

She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Peoria.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home in Princeville, where visitation will be one hour before. Shawn Craigmiles will officiate. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Bel-Wood Nursing Home Residents Fund.
