Born in Maries County, Mo he had lived in Ashland County for the past 45 years. For the past 15 years he was a self - employed plumber. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; three daughters, Mrs. Glenn Green and Mrs. Fred Whittman, both of Ashland and Mrs. Robert Pearce of Wooster; one son, John A. of Ashland; one step - son, John Purdy, also of Ashland; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Noblett of Hardin, Mont.; two brothers, Thomas of Dixon, Mo. and Chester of Ashland; 17 grandchildren; two step- grandchildren and three great - grandchildren.
Services will be held 1:30 p. m. Thursday at the Denbow - Primm Funeral Home, Ashland, with the Rev. Warren W. Costick officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p. m. at the funeral home.
