John was born to Clifford D. and Lucille Hartsel Bull and had resided in Ashland most of his life. For 33 years he was a tire builder for Mansfield Tire and Rubber Co. He retired from the Garber Co. in Ashland. He was a member of the Retired Teamsters and served as their secretary. He was also a member of the Mandfield Tire Rubber Retirees Club and a member of the National Rifle Association.
14 May 1949 he wed Betty J. Wynn who survives him, also surviving are a daughter, Penny Lee Bull of Ashland; a son John A. (Brenda) Bull of St Louis, Missouri; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters Virginia Green and Donna Jean (Fred) Wittman all of Ashland and Mary (Bob) Pearce of Wooster.
Preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Christine Bull.
