JOHN MORRIS BULL 1876-1956 : John Morris Bull, son of John Henry and Martha J. McNabb Bull, was born in Maries county, Missouri January 11, 1876 and departed this life at his home January 13, 1956, being at the time of his death 80 years and two days of age. On March 26, 1899 he was united in marriage to Josephine Blackwell and to this union eight children were born. Those left to mourn his passing are three sons, Clifford and Chester Bull of Ashland, Ohio, and Thomas Bull of Vienna, MO; one daughter, Pearl Noblett of Hardin, Montana; sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; two half-brothers, Harrison and Allen Bull of Springfield, Mo; also nieces and nephews. His wife, Josephine, and four daughters, Murtie, Lucy,Charlice, and Alice have preceded him in death, also two brothers, Willie and Buddy Bull, and two sisters, Belle Roberson and Ellie Minzes.Mr. Bull had been bedfast for twenty-one months, suffering from strokes and broken hips. He and his wife were united with God many years ago and were well known Christian believers. There will be a vacant place in the room that Dad had in the home of his son Tommy. He will be sadly missed by the family, loved ones and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 15 at two p.m. from the Gilbert Chapel with Rev. Henry Prewett officiating. Burial was in the Kenner Cemetery under direction of the Gilbert Funeral Home. (obit, 19 Jan 1956) Dixon Pilot)
