Alberta "Bert" J. (Isonhart) Shempf, age 85 of Peoria, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born to Leonard and Mildred E. (Gray) Blevins on June 10, 1931 in Macoupin County, IL. She married Ernest W. Shempf on October 21, 1950 in Lewistown and he preceded her in death on February 6, 1985. Bert is survived by her children, Beverly Ochs of Peoria, Jacquelyn (Rick) Scott of Brimfield, and Ricky (Candi) Isonhart of Peoria; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Vi Edwards; and brother, Wayne Blevins. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald Isonhart; daughter, Gene Cotelleso; grandson, Robert Cotelleso; sons-in-law, Ralph and Eugene; six brothers; and six sisters. During her working years, she was employed at Peoria Apron and Towel and B&G Coffee Shop. Bert enjoyed going to casinos and doing crossword puzzles. She was a great seamstress and loved to crochet and make clothes for her daughters. Burial will be at Springdale Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel and condolences may be left at www.davison-fulton.com.
