Edna Mae Releford, 89, of Gillespie, IL, died at her residence on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 10:00 pm. She was born March 29, 1925, in Middletown, OH to Leonard Blevins Sr & Mildred (Gray) Blevins. She married Floyd W. Releford on August 17, 1944 in Carlinville, IL. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1990. She was a homemaker. Edna was a Charter Member of Trinity Baptist Church in Gillespie and a Sunday School Teacher for over 60 years at Trinity Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Pine of Hazelwood, MO, Sandra (Larry) Maloney of Buffalo, IL, Leanne (Russ) Heyen of Gillespie, IL, grandchildren, Christopher Releford, Sean Maloney, Shelby Heyen, great-grandchild, Wrigley Releford, brothers, Lindell Blevins of Statesville, NC, Wayne Blevins of Dorchester, IL, Jim Blevins of Godfrey, IL, Tom Blevins of Gillespie, IL, sisters, Alberta Shempf of Peoria, IL, Vi Edwards of Gillespie, IL, and Carolyn Rimar of Troy, IL. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, son, Gary Releford, brothers, Luke Blevins, Leonard Blevins, Richard Blevins, sisters, Marie Brewer, Babe Troxel, Alvena Friend, Marianna Peacock and Dorothy Blevins. Friends may call on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Trinity Baptist Church, Gillespie from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Memorial services are at 6pm at Trinity Baptist Church, Gillespie on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 with Rev. Justin Kinder officiating. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Baptist Church.
