Gloria Brown Kirk, daughter of Myrtle Hendrix Brown and Robert Everette Brown was born March 5, 1930 in Curryville, Missouri. She was the youngest of 17 children.

She passed away peacefully on Monday evening, March 2, 2020. She was 89 years old.

Gloria grew up on a farm near Curryville and attended Bowling Green High School. She met James Kirk of Bowling Green, Missouri, and they married on October 9, 1948.

Gloria was a homemaker that loved flowers, gardening, and traveling. She also loved music and the music programs of Peak View Assisted Living. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, and visiting National Parks. Gloria liked to read; and in later life due to declining eyesight, listening to books on tape. She always wanted to hear about the grandkids and how they were doing.

She is survived by 1 son; 2 daughters; their spouses and their families.

Gloria is preceded in death by her husband James Kirk who passed away January 9, 2013.
