Mrs. Emma C. Fitzpatrick, 60 of Beaverton, died Sunday at the Gratiot Community Hospital after a one and one-half year illness. She was born in Oakwood, Ohio, on April 20, 1900, and lived in Clare and Gladwin Counties for 56 years. The former Miss Emma C. Brubaker was married to Bernard Fitzpatrick on June 25, 1924 in Gladwin.
Surviving are her husband, Bernard; four sons, Leo and Glenn, of Beaverton, Vernon, of St. James and Gerald, of Saginaw; a daughter Mrs. Emma Jane Reid, of Ortonville; eight brothers, Ralph, Victor and Dennis Brubaker, of Gladwin, Curtis and Lawrence Brubaker of Beaverton, Dave Brubaker, Floriday, John Brubaker, of Clare and Ray Brubaker, of Saginaw; four sisters, Mrs. Laha Dickens, of Beaverton, Dave Brubaker, of Toledo, Mrs. Norah Griuss, of Beal City, and Mrs. Grace Schrader, of Niles; and five grandchildren. Three children preceded her in death.
Rosary was saird at 9 p.m. Tuesday and today (Wednesday) at 9 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church.
