DENNIS EDWARD BRUBAKER

Dennis E. Brubaker, 77, of 435 S. Antler St., Gladwin, died Friday, Aug. 9, in the Gladwin Area Hospital following a long illness. Born in Grout Township Jan. 28, 1908, he had spent his lifetime here. He owned Brubaker's Sinclair Station for 36 years and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Gladwin Knights of Columbus 5280. He was also a former Gladwin City councilman. Mr. Brubaker and the former Mary Cameron were married Oct. 27, 1926, in Gladwin.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 4 sons, Dr. Leo and Michael of Muskegon, Joseph of Midland and James of Gladwin; 4 daughters, Mrs. Willard (Anna Marie) Kehoe of Bay City, Mrs. Chester (Marylou) Moczulski of Pinconning, Mrs. Harold (Ruth Ann) Lockwood of Kansas and Mrs. Michael (Kathleen) Mulleh of St. Johns, one sister, Mrs. Nora Gruss of Beal City; 3 brothers Victor of Gladwin, John of Clare and Lawrence of Beaverton, 31 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A daughter Linda preceded him in death in 1943.
Services were held Monday at 10 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Father Donald Christensen officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. A Rosary was said Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Sisson-Mathews Funeral Home. Gladwin County Record dated 08-14/1985 Column - 3 Page - 2
