Mrs. Mary Magdalen Thomas, 72 years old, died Monday August 12, 1963 at her home at Brandenburg Station. She was born March 12, 1891 a daughter of Augustus B. Benham and Maggie (Fowler) Benham. Her husband Ruben S. Thomas preceded her in death.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Walter Raymer, Mrs. Oliver Pack and Mrs. Eli Dix all of Brandenburg Station; three sons, J.R. Thomas and John Thomas of Brandenburg Station, and Gus Thomas of Louisville;also survived by 30 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; one brother Emmons Benham of Brandenburg and one sister Mrs. Louisa Shrewsbury of Brandenburg.

Funeral services were held August 14th at New Brandenburg baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Rea Mangum. Burial was in the church cemetery directed by Wright Funeral Home. Pallbearers were; Gus Owen Dix, Marion Raymer, Billy Pack, Donald Dix, J.P. Dix and Earl Pack.
