He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maggie Louise Benham Thomas; six daughters, Mrs. Nancy Louise Grosse, Newport, N.C., Mrs. Patty Jean Watts, Eva Beach, Hawaii. Mrs. Brenda Joy Quinn, Louisville, Miss Joanne Thomas, Vine Grove, Mrs. Jill Carrie Fernandez. Ft. Sill, Okla. and Mrs. Amy Colette Scott, Vine Grove; two sons, Jessie Earl Thomas and Tim Kelly Thomas, Brandenburg; sister, Mrs. Sylvia Pack, Brandenburg; two brothers, Gus Thomas and John Thomas, Brandenburg, and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at2:00 p.m. Tuesday from the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with the Rev. Lannie Gardner officiating. Burial was in Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery.
