Philip L. Klahold, nine days from his 80th birthday, formerly of Strausstown and Boyertown, PA; passed away Saturday, March 10th, 2018, at Berks Heim Nursing & Rehabilitation in Leesport, PA. He was born March 20, 1938 in York, PA. He was the son of the late Gerhart Carl and Katharine R. (Carlson) Klahold Sr. He was married for 55 years to his late wife Yvonne S.(Almoney) Klahold. Philip worked at Reading Federal Paper Board Mill, in Sinking Spring, PA, for many years and also had a farm in the Bernville, PA; for a few years raising Hogs and crops. Philip is survived by two sons, Philip Klahold II, husband of Holly of Mohrsville, PA, and Keith Klahold, husband of Jackie of Berwick, PA; two daughters, Sherril Robillard of Scotland, PA, and Darlene wife of Douglas Fornwalt of Boyertown, PA; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his six brothers, Gerhart Carl Jr, Frederick William, Walter Eugene, Lester Edward, David A. and Kenneth James Klahold; and his sister, Flo Elizabeth Siegfried. Burial will be in Little Swatara Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Bethel, Berks County, PA.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 14th, at Hill Funeral Home, 111 Godfrey St., Rehrersburg, PA.
A viewing will be held from 12:00–1:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
