Death came very suddenly, due to a heart attack. She was born July 16, 1888. She attended the Clinton county grade schools and after her graduation from the Frankfort High School attended the Marion Normal and taught in the Clinton county schools.
On September 4, 1908, she was united in marriage to Ralph Zerfas and they lived on a farm east of Frankfort. To them were born four children, Mrs. Helen Kaser of Detroit, Howard of Lafayette, Gordon of Detroit and Hilda of Indianapolis.
Surviving her are the husband, children, and two grandchildren, Nancy Ellen and Tommy Kaser. Also, her father, two sisters, Mrs. Maime Blinn of Washington, Indiana and Mrs. Ella Gilpin of Kokomo and three brothers, Oscar of Delphi, Byron of Detroit and Merton of Fort Wayne.
Her mother and one brother preceded her in death.
Mrs. Zerfas was a member of the Farmers Chapel United Brethren church, and later changed her membership to the Boyleston U.B. church.
Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock, northwest of the city, Rev. H.W. White officiating. Burial will be in Bunnell cemetery.
