Ralph M. Zerfax, 7718 Highway 301, Allenton, Florida, died Saturday at 3:30 a.m. in Manatee Memorial Hospital, Bradenton, Florida, at the age of 84.

Mr. Zerfas , whose death was unexpected, was a native of Frankfort, and a former resident of Delphi and Lafayette as well. He was a retired farmer.

He was born on February 2, 1884, to David A. and Eliza J. Irwin Zerfas. He married twice. His first wife, the former Ruby Baird , whom he married on September 4, 1908, died in 1939, and two years later he married the former Edith Baker, who survives him.

He moved to Florida a year ago.

Other survivors include two sons, Gordon Zerfas of Northridge, California and Howard Zerfas of Delphi; a stepson, Walton Baker of Detroit; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Lynch of Granada Hills, California and Mrs. Helen Kaser of Detroit; two sisters, Miss Roxy Zerfas of Indianapolis and Mrs. Omar Jenkins of Dayton, Indiana; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A sister preceded him in death.

Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery.
