B. F Roberts Passes
B. F. Roberts passed away at his home here Saturday, after a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday at the Baptist Church, Rev. S.E. Dorsett officiating. Interment was made in the Rosehill Cemetery.

OBITUARY
Benjamin Franklin Roberts was born in Adams County, Illinois June 12, 1853 and departed this life August 17, 1935, at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 5 days.
At an early age he moved with his parents to Knox County, Missouri. In 1884 he was united in marriage to Lucy J. Allen. To this union seven children were born: Linzie of Richland, Missouri; Mrs. Florence Dudley of La Plata, Missouri; Edward of Rago; Walter of Hazelton; Mrs. Lille Schumaker of La Crosse, Missouri; Clarence of Winfield, and Bennie of Hazelton. The five sons being present at the funeral with the daughters unable to be here.
Mr. and Mrs. Roberts celebrated their fifty first anniversary of their marriage on February 17; he being the first death in the immediate family.
In 1909 the family came to Kansas locating in Harper County before moving to Hazelton, where they have since made their home. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, seven children, twenty-six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother, one sister, one half-brother, and three half-sisters besides a host of other relatives and friends.
He became a member of the Methodist Church at the age of __ years, later being baptized in the Baptist Church. He was a good husband, father, and grandfather.

Friends of this community were sorry to hear of the death of Benjamin Franklin Roberts of Kansas as he formerly lived in this community. He was born in Adams County, Ill., June 12, 1853 and departed this life Aug. 17, 1935 being at the time of his death 82 years, 2 months and 5 days. He was united in marriage to Lucy Allen in 1884. To this union seven children were born, Mrs. Florence Dudley of LaPlata, Mrs. Walter Shumaker of LaCrosse, Edward, Walter, Bennie and Clarence all of Kansas and Linzie of Richland, Mo.
