---William E. Roberts, 624 North Jackson, died at his home here Friday at 8:30 p.m. He had been ill a long time.
---Mr. Roberts was born in Macon County, Mo., on Sept. 30, 1887, and had lived here 12 years. He was a retired carpenter. Mr. Roberts was a member of the Baptist Church, the Eagles Lodge and Local 1587.
---Surviving are his widow, Ethel; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Grandon, 1824 East 4th; a son Jack, 1516 East 6th; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Dudley, La Plata, Mo. and Mrs. Lillie Shumaker, LaCrosse, Mo.; four brothers, Linzie, Larned; Clarence, Winfield; Walter, Hazelton, and Benjamin, Kiowa, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
