Sam H. Roberts Dies Early This Morning
---Sam Hubbard Roberts, 63, died at 2:05 o'clock this morning at his home, Macon Route 1, following a six-year illness. he had been seriously ill the past two weeks.
---Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, March 31, at the Valley Chapel Church, conducted by the Rev. James McClanahan. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
---The late Mr. Roberts was born Jan. 21, 1887, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Roberts in Callao.
---On July 28, 1912 he was married to Mae Marshall.
---Mr. Roberts was a member of the Church of God of Valley Chapel.
---He is survived by his wife and three children, Mrs. Herbert Whitfield of Peoria, Ill.; two sons, Paul S. Roberts, of Peoria, Ill., and D.S. Roberts, of Macon; one grandson, one brother, Behman Roberts, Buhl, Idaho; one half brother, John Roberts of the state of Colorado; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Bonifield, Elmer; Mrs. Mischa Burkhart, Exter, Calif.; and one half sister Mrs. Lizzie Perry, Brookfield.
---The body was taken to the Stephens and Goodding Funeral Home.
