MARTIN J. COURTAD FUNERAL TUESDAY
Well Known Resident Expires After Illness of Three Weeks at Home Here

Funeral services for Martin J. Courtad, 79, wo died Saturday morning, will be
held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Peter's Catholic Church with the
Pastor, REv. William J. McKoewn officiating.

The body, which had been taken to the Bringman and Company Funeral home, has
been returned to the home where friends may call a any time.

Mr. Courtad died at his home at 201 North Fourth Street at 8:30 a.m. Saturday
following an illnesss of 3 weeks. Death was attributed to complications.

Martin John Courtad was born Mar. 14, 1868, on a farm in Crane twonship,
northeast of this city, the son of Peter and Clementine (Zircher) Courtad.
Nov. 27, 1902, he was united in marriage with Mary Ida Von Blon,, with the late
Father Hutmacher officiating.

Surviving with Mrs. Courtad are the following children: Cecelia, wife of Neal
Halbedel, Norristown, Pa.; Mildred, wife of George of this city; Don Courtad, of
Mansfield, and Misses Bernardine and Pauline, both at home. A son died in
infancy.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren, a brother, August J. Courtad, of Upper
Sandusy, and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Greth, of Kirby; and Mrs. John Pahl of
Carey. Three brothers, two half-brothers and two half-sisters preceded him in
death.

Mr. Courtad resided all his life on the farm on which he was born until nime
years ago when he moved to Upper Sandusky. He was a member of the St. Peter's
Catholic church in this city.
