Native of Seneca came to Hancock Co. 58 years ago, Rites Tuesday
Mrs. Mary Ann Laube, 91, died at four o'clock Saturday morning at her home, 903 West Main Cross Street, following an illness of one month of heart trouble.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 o'clock Tuesday morning from St. Michael's Catholic Church, Rev. Robert Knoeple will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The daughter of Peter and Catherine Simonis Courtad. She was born Jan. 23, 1842, in Seneca Co., and came to Hancock Co. 58 years ago.
In 1865 she married to August Laube, who died in 1869. She later married edward Laube, a natie of Switzerland, who died eight years ago. Ten children were born, eight of whom are living. They are Vernonic Moose, Mrs. Katherine Eiler, John, William, Joseph, Frank, and Edward Laube, all of Findlay, and Mrs. Emma grant, of Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Half-sisters and brother living are John Courtad, Joseph Courtad, August Courtad and Martin Courtad, all of Upper Sandusky; Mrs. Elizabeth Greth of Fostoria, and Mrs. John Pahl of Carey. One sister and 2 brothers preceded her in death. Eighteen grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Laube was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and of the Altar Society of the church.
The body was removed to the Coldren Funeral home and later returned to the residence.
