Lucinda Mounce died at the Somerset City Hospital after an illness of several months.
She was a member of the White Lily Baptist Church.
She was survived by her children, Ethel Mayfield, Oscar Mounce, Homer Mounce, Eva Dykes, and Ada VanHook, all of Somerset, Kentucky, Leecy Colyer of Danville, Ottis Mounce of Colo, Hollis Mounce of Louisville, and Lena Meece of Dabney; and her sister, Tibatha VanHook of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Erp and Mahala (Hargis) Erp; and her husband, John R. Mounce (married in 1893).
Funeral services were held at the White Lily Baptist Church with Reverend Edmond VanHook, Lester Phelps, and Verthel Taylor officiating.
Farris-Morris-Hislope Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
