Funeral services for Andrew Cleveland Erp, 57, who died Tuesday afternoon at his home at Drum, were held this morning at the White Lily Baptist Church with the Rev. H.J. Rider officiating. Burial was in adjoining cemetery. Mr. Erp, a prominent farmer of Pulaski County, suffered a heart attack Tuesday afternoon causing his death. Although he had been in failing health for three years, his illness did not keep him confined and his death came unexpected. Born in Pulaski County in 1885, he was a son of the late Sidney and Mahalia Hargis Erp and spent his entire life in the Drum neighborhood. He united with the Baptist Church early in life and was an active and loyal member of the Bent Baptist Church. He was a good husband and brother and was devoted to his family. His personality won for him many friends who were grieved at his passing. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Tyranda Ping Erp; a brother, George W. Erp of Drum; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Goodin, Dabney; Mrs. Otha Meece, Drum, Mrs. Tabitha Vanhook, Somerset; Mrs. Lucinda Mounce, Dykes, and Mrs. Grady Dykes of Oklahoma, and several nieces and nephews.
