Thomas L. Ahmann, 69, rural Foxholm, died Sunday, November 5, 2006 in his home.

Tom was born March 4, 1937, on the Ahmann family farm, rural Foxholm, ND, to Fred and Anna (Fuchs) Ahmann. He was raised on the family farm in rural Foxholm and attended Stamen School and later graduated from Velva High School.

On July 22, 1959, Tom married Margie Hulberg at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Minot. Following their marriage they made their home on the family farm, where they farmed and raised their family.

Tom was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Foxholm, and was a member of the St. Mary's Parish Council. He served on the St. Mary's Township Board and was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Minot.

Tom loved his family and enjoyed the times he spent with them. He spent his entire life on the family farm and loved to watch the crops grow. Tom knew someone everywhere he went, and was a man of strong faith.

Survivors: Wife, Margie, Foxholm; children, Timothy Ahmann, Minot, Pamela (Hugh) Hunt, Hallock, MN, Joan (Peter) Perhach, Carlsbad, CA, Jean (Dan) Ternes, Minot, Nancy (Kyle) Mickelson, Foxholm, and Todd (Jennifer) Ahmann, Minot; 18 grandchildren, Travis Albertson, Molly, Tommy and Jacob Ahmann; Chelsey, Cassie and Alex Hunt; Anna and Claire Perhach; Justin and Megan Ternes; Jayde and Joshua Haugrose; Chance Mickelson; Amber, Brandon, Casey and Courtney Ahmann; one great-grandson, Hunter Albertson; brothers, Alvin (Lorraine) Ahmann, and Duane (Janet) Ahmann, all in Minot; sisters, Valetta (Kenneth) Tait, Villa Park, CA, Diane (Bill) Moore, Huntington Beach, CA, and Carol (LeRoy) Limke, Carpio; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Anna Ahmann; his brothers, Everett, John, Delmar and Kenny Ahmann; sisters, Blanche Ahmann, Willora Cowles, and Anna Mae Plemel.

Funeral: Thursday, November 9, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot.

Visitation and vigil prayer service: Visitation will be Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot, with the vigil Wednesday at 7:00 at the church.

Burial: Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Foxholm, ND.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Farm Rescue, P.O. Box 62, Cleveland, ND 58424. Donations to Farm Rescue are tax deductible.
