Delmar F. Ahmann, 62, Glenburn, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1993, of natural causes in his home.

He was born Dec. 4, 1930, to Fred and Anna Ahmann, in Minot. He was raised and educated in the Foxholm area. He married Donna Tallman Oct. 29, 1953, in Minot. He served in the Army in the Korean War from June 1953 to June 1955 and was stationed in Germany. He was discharged and returned to the Minot area. He was employed by Bennie Schimmelpfennig in various positions for 18 years in Ruthville. In 1971 he established Del’s Bar in Glenburn and operated it until 1977 when he sold it and moved to Minot where he worked construction. In 1980 he became manager of the Knights of Columbus Clubrooms in Minot. He returned to Glenburn in 1983 and again operated Del’s Bar which he and his family operated until his death.

He was a member of St. Philomena’s Catholic Church, Glenburn, and belonged to Eagles Aerie, the American Legion, and Knights of Columbus, all in Minot.

The family prefers memorials to St. Joseph’s Hospital-Hospice Home Care, Minot.

Survivors: wife; daughter, Delora, Glenburn; brothers, Everett and Tom, both Foxholm, Alvin and Duane, both Minot, John, Max; sisters, Valetta Tait of Villa Park, Calif., Anna Mae Plemel, Minot, Diana Moore, Huntington Beach, Calif., Carol Olson, Burlington.

Funeral: Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Visitation and vigil prayer: Visitation today from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Vigil prayer today at 7:30 p.m. in the church.
