Wife of John Austin Spalding
Mrs. Cecelia Evelyn Spalding, age 87 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Cedars of Lebanon. She was born on May 9, 1928 in Lebanon, KY. Mrs. Spalding was a retired lunchroom employee of Glasscock Elementary School and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Austin Spalding; parents, Louis Raymond and Elizabeth Irene Hamilton Daugherty; daughter, Karen Spalding; son, Joseph DeWayne Spalding; three sisters, Florence Bott, Gladys Thomas and Colette Schickel; four brothers, L.R., Pete, Clifton and Joe Paul Daugherty.
Survivors include sons, Barry Spalding, of Finley, KY, Chris (Crystal) Spalding, of Lebanon, KY; Son-in-law: David Spalding, of Lebanon, KY; brother, Harold Daugherty, of Louisville, KY. Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Shawna Richerson, Scott Spalding, Patrick Spalding, Ragan Spalding, Johnathan Spalding. Nicholas Spalding, Cheyenne Mattingly, Madelynn Spalding, Collin Spalding, Calvin Spalding. Also four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bosley Funeral Home. Prayer services will be held at 7:00 Wednesday evening by Deacon Joe Dant.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Marion County Handicapped Association.
