Carl Scieszinski, Albia, Dies Sunday

Carl Emmett Scieszinski, 60, of Albia, died Sunday at 12:30 a.m. at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. He had been a surgical patient for six days.

The son of Frank and Mary Fitzgerald Scieszinski, he was born June 12, 1903, near Melrose. In August he married Bernice Carmody. They lived in Melrose until January 1957, when they moved to Albia. He was a Monroe county employee.

He was preceded in death by his father in April 1962. Surviving are his wife; his mother; five brothers, John and J.R. Scieszinski of Melrose, Edward F. of Albia, Sylvester of Davenport and Vincent of Des Moines; and three sisters, Mrs. James Craig of Chicago, Mrs. Robert Feehan and Miss Catherine Scieszinski of Melrose.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's church in Albia with the Rev. Father L. Heinen officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery at Melrose. The rosary will be recited tonight at 8 at Humeston Funeral home.
