Born April 1, 1906, in Peoria to Theodore and Lottie Scherer Alberssen, she married John R. Baxter on Sept. 13, 1944, in Peoria. He died March 12, 1952, in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by one son, one sister and one brother.
Surviving are two sons, James Shreffler of Peoria and Jack Shreffler of Topock, Ariz.; three daughters, Betty Johnson, Mrs. Harry (Helen) Sturgis and Mrs. Marceau (Shirley) Descamps, all of Peoria; three stepdaughters; two brothers, Roland Alberssen of Peoria Heights and Ted "Bud" Alberssen, both of Peoria Heights; and two sisters, Gertrude Pegg and Mildred Ohl, both of Peoria.
Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
