Roland M. Alberssen, 81, of Peoria Heights died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, at ManorCare Health Services in Peoria.

Born April 20, 1920, in Peoria to Theodore and Lottie Share Alberssen, he married Geraldine B. Hill on June 20, 1947, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Roland (and Terri) of Palm Harbor, Fla.; two daughters, Bonnie (and David) Brock of Peoria Heights and Deborah (and Richard) Ledbetter of Chillicothe; one stepson, Kenneth (and Marcia) Coric of West Peoria; one brother, Theodore (and Marie) of East Peoria; and one sister, Mildred Ohl of Peoria.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

He worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 30 years.

Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
