Theodore (Ted) Alberssen, 93, of East Peoria, died at 2:02 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at his residence.

He was born on December 9, 1913 in Peoria, a son of Theodore John and Charlotte Ann "Lottie" Shearer Alberssen. He married Marie Muehlich on June 25, 1971 in Peoria. She died on June 22, 2004 in Peoria.

He was also preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Hunt, three brothers, five sisters, and one great-granddaughter.

Surviving are two daughters, Kathy (and Dwight) Leighty of Salem, Oregon; Christy (and Steve) Collier of Pekin; two sons, Jeff (and Shari) Muehlich of Tremont; Kent Muenlich of Sturgis, MI, and one sister, Mildred Ohl of Peoria, also surviving are 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He worked at Caterpillar, Inc. in the Parts Department in East Peoria, and Morton as an Emergency Shipping Foreman for 39 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Saint Monica's Catholic Church in East Peoria, Past Member of the Caterpillar Quartet, and Charter Member of the Greater Peoria Rose Society.

Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
