James Theodore Shreffler, 80, of Bryant died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Son of Fred and Theresa (Alverssen) Shreffler. He married Wilma Eileen Fulk on November 7, 1959 in Peoria. She preceded him in death on October 21, 1976.

Mr. Shreffer is survived by one son: James R. "Senior" (Kathy) Shreffler of Eureka, IL; two daughters: Lennie (William) Hand of Canton, IL and Lisa Lutes of Peoria; nine grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. Also suriviving are one brother: Jack Shreffler of Arizona and two sisters: Helen Sturgis and Shirley Descamps, both of Peoria. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Robert, sister Betty Johnson and one daughter: Judy Walker on July 28, 2000.

Mr. Shreffer worked as a yard laborer for Wheeling Corrugated in Havana for 35 years. He also served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a tank driver.

Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
