John was the son of the late John Nathan and Nola Sparks Boone. An Army Private veteran of WW11. He enlisted in the Army on December 8, 1944.He was the recipient of An American Theater Service Medal, an EAME Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, a Good Conduct Medal and a WW11 Victory Medal. He was a member of Rebels Creek Baptist Church.
