Worley "Bud" Boone, age 83, of Conover went to be with his Lord Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-Main in Charlotte. Born August 22, 1932 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late John Nathan Boone and the late Viola Conley Boone. Bud was a U.S. Navy Veteran where he served as a Gunnery Specialist. He was retired from General Electric. He loved gardening and traveling.
He is survived by:
Wife of 59 years: Lois McKinney Boone of the home
Son: Mark R. Boone and wife Babette of Davidson
Daughter: Pamela B. Miller and husband Glenn of Davidson
2 Brothers: Howard Boone, Donald Boone, both of Georgia
Sister: Margaret B. Howell of Bakersville, NC
