Howard Ray Boone, born on December 25, 1936 to John Nathan Boone and Viola Conley Boone.

Howard was one of many children born and raised on Rebels Creek, Boonford, North Carolina.He was baptized on June 10, 1949 in the creek beside Rebels Creek Baptist Church where he accepted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as his savior.After graduating from Bowman High School in Bakersville, N.C in May, 1955, he moved to Atlanta, GA to live with his sister Lucille Boone Kimbrell. At that time he began his career in Atlanta after graduating from Massey Business College in Atlanta. He later began his first job with Southern Railway. While there he met his wife to be Miriam Davis and later married on April 19, 1957. They have two children together, Alicia Raye Boone, born July 31, 1959 and Howard Keith Boone born September 12, 1962. Alicia later married Chris Reubert. Howard Keith later married Sondra Leanne Harper. Howard Keith and Sondra have three children, Taylor Keith Boone and twin daughters, Lauren Nicole Boone and Lindsay Morgan Boone.
In October, 1957 Howard began his long career with First National Bank of Atlanta later acquired by Wachovia Bank. While there he attended and graduated from the National Installment Credit School at the University of Chicago, Center for Continuing Education on February 19, 1965.He Completed all the necessary courses and received a Graduate in Commercial Banking Degree in March, 1968. Later on Howard attended the Graduate School of Consumer Banking at the University of Virginia where he graduated with honors on August 18, 1972. Howard retired from Wachovia Bank in June, 1998. After retirement he was employed at Greater Atlanta Christian Schools as a substitute teacher and a volunteer for many years. During and after retirement from Wachovia Bank he decided to begin a new career in Commercial and Residential Real Estate having obtained his license and began his own real estate business.

A portion of his cremated remains will be buried at Rebels Creek Cemetery, Boonford, Bakersville, N C.
