Mrs. Claude Isabell, 85, of LaFayette died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005 at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley.
Graveside services are scheduled Thursday, Oct. 6 at 11 a.m. at the Burton Family Cemetery in Tallapoosa County with Rev. Alton Parris officiating.
Mrs. Isabell is survived by three sons, Lamar Isabell of Piedmont, AL, Burt Isabell of Sylacauga, AL, and Lowell Isabell of Jackson, AL; two sisters, Ruby Drake of Opelika, AL and Jimmie Parrish of Rainbow City, AL; one brother, Guy Burton of Lanett, AL; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Isabell was born Jan. 22, 1920 in Tallapoosa County. She had been employed as a secretary at the First Baptist Church in LaFayette for many years. Mrs. Isabell was a member of First Baptist Church of Lanett.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home in Montgomery, AL.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 6, from 9 until 10 a.m. at Jeff Jones Funeral Home in LaFayette.
