LAFAYETTE, AL -- Mrs. Clara Burton Sims LeCroy, 92, of Lafayette died Saturday, 26 Feb 2000 at Lafayette Nursing Home.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, 28 Feb 2000 28 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Revs Barry Brooks and Alton Parris officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mrs. LeCroy is survived by her step-daughter, Nell (Verble) Beasley of Pensacola, FL; her step-daughter-in-law, Eloise LeCroy of Montgomery, AL; five sisters, Laurie Sanders of Alexander City, AL, Mary Sanders and Claude Isabell, both of Lafayette, Ruby Drake of Auburn, AL and Jimmie Parris of Rainbow City, AL; two brothers, Charlie Burton of Camp Hill, AL and Guy Burton of Lanett, AL; and five step-grandchildren.

Born 1 Apr 1907 in Tallapoosa County, AL, Mrs. LeCroy was a retired school teacher, having taught first grade for 46 years. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church at Union Hill, AL.

Jeff Jones Funeral Home in Lafayette handled arrangements.
