Son of John D. and Viola Wood Adams, he married Hazel Higbee, was a railroader, lived at RD 1 Franklin, died in Franklin Hospital pf a coronary thrombosis due to generalized arteriosclerosis, per death certificate 051344-64, whose informant was his wife. Buried May 5 1964.

Franklin News-Herald, Monday, May 4 1964:
Plumer P. Adams, 71, of Franklin RD 1, died at 11 am Saturday after he was stricken suddenly ill. He was reported in his usual health until Saturday morning, when he was rushed to Franklin Hospital, but was listed dead on arrival. He was born in Frenchcreek Township March 15, 1893, son of John D. and Viola Wood Adams.

He spent his entire life in this vicinity, worked for the New York Central Railroad for 44 years, retiring in 1958 as bridge foreman. He was a member of the Railroad Brotherhood and the Loyal Order of Moose, No. 83.

On April 23, 1913 he married Hazel Higbee, and she survives, with 8 children, Wayne H. Adams. Russell J. Adams, Merle A. Adams, Dean P. Adams, Hays A. Adams, and Mrs. Kenneth Baker, all of Franklin, Mrs. John Monaghan of Marlton, NJ, and Mrs. Darrell Smith of Torrance, CA; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. C. A. (Bess) Stroup, Akron, OH, and Gertrude Adams of Polk; a brother, Wert W. Adams of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Clyde and Boyd; two brothers, Samuel Adams and Newton Adams; and a sister, Mrs. Grace Lansche.

Services will be at 1:30 pm Tuesday at Buchanan-Schmidt Funeral Home with Rev. Edward McCollough, pastor of Polk Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Sandy Cemetery.
