Son of Raymond and Rebecca Griffin Adams, he married Viola Wood, was a retired carpenter, lived in Frenchcreek Twp, Venango Co, PA,died of cardiovascular renal disease, per death certificate 93111, whose informant was Miss Gertrude Adams, Polk. Buried Oct 9 1934.

Franklin News-Herald, Monday, Oct 8 1934:
John D. Adams, 75, died at his home in Polk at 10 pm Saturday.

He was a carpenter and a life-long resident of Polk and worked at Polk State Training School until his retirement eight years ago. While in failing health for three years, his condition did not become serious until two weeks ago.

On July 10, Mr. and Mrs. Adams celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in the house in which they began housekeeping, and she survives, with children, Mrs. George Lausche of New York, Mrs. C. A. Stoup of Akron, OH, Miss Gertrude Adams, at home, W. W. Adams of Ashtabula, OH, P. P. Adams of Polk, N. M. Adams of Polk, Same Adams of Polk; brothers, Frank Adams of Franklin, and Myron Adams of Greenville; sisters, Mrs. C. E. Rice of Grove City, Mrs. Mary Jane Greenlee of Polk, Mrs. Lizzie Lynch of Cambridge Springs, and Mrs. Burton Wood of Polk; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at the Adams hone in Polk with Rev. P. G. Koonce officiating. Interment will be in Sandy Cemetery.
