Edna was the daughter of Harry Milton Masenheimer and Flora Elizabeth Kellenberger. She married George Henry Sterner on October 9, 1924 in York, York Co., PA.

George and Edna were the parents of ten children:
1. Doris Irene (Sterner) Lau
2. George Henry Sterner, Jr.
3. Richard Eugene Sterner
4. Audrey Marie (Sterner) Summers
5. Jane Elizabeth (Sterner) Fissel
6. Shirley May (Sterner) Barbaretta

Mrs. Edna C. Sterner, 63, wife of George H. Sterner, 836 Fern Place, died at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Osteopathic Hospital.

Daughter of the late Harry and Flora Kellenberger Masenheimer, she was a member of Grace United Church of Christ.

Surviving, besides her husband, are nine children, Mrs. Doris I. Lau, 919 W. Princess St.; Richard E. Sterner, 825 Taxville Road; Mrs. Audrey M. Summers, 1766 Oakley Drive; Mrs. James [sic--Jane] E. Fissel, York RD 6; Mrs. Shirley M. Barbaretta, Harrisburg; Mrs. Fay E. Hale, 150 N. Main St., Manchester; Barry D. Sterner, at home; Mrs. Patricia A. Sullivan, 357 S. Queen St., and Jerry L. Sterner, York RD 6.

Also surviving are 22 grand children; a great grandson; a brother, Edward Masenheimer, Hanover; and five sisters, Mrs. Mary Wertz, 157 W. Jackson St.; Mrs. Gertrude Stonesifer, Mrs. Mildred Markle and Mrs. Pauline Kessler, all of Hanover; and Mrs. Erma Mathias, Baltimore.

The Rev. Donald G. Nice, pastor of St. Jacobs's Lutheran Church, York New Salem, will conduct the funeral at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Chas. E. Leber Funeral Parlors, 200 Carlisle Ave. Interment will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
