Ella Fern Berndt, 80, of Waverly, died at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 1989 at Passavant Hospital.
She was born Oct. 23, 1908, near Loraine, daughter of Isaac Judson and Rose Etta Eldridge Baggerly.
She married Leonard Berndt Jan. 22, 1927, in Jacksonville. He preceded her in death Oct. 13, 1983.
Surviving are three sons, Lawrence and Don, both of Waverly and Darrel Dean of Arlington, Texas; a daughter, Norma Lacey, of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Grace Garrison of Burlington, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild, four brothers and two sisters.
Services were held at Neece Funeral Home in Waverly, Rev. Claude Curry officiated the services. Burial was in Waverly Cemetery.
