Norma grew up in the Waverly, Illinois area with her brothers Darrell (Dean), Lawrence, and Don. As a child she loved going to school, learning and reading and playing with friends, family and pets. Norma married Gerald Eugene Lacey in September 1954 and moved to Jacksonville to begin a new chapter in her life. To Norma and Gerald, nothing was more important than their two children. They enjoyed family fishing trips, trips to the zoo and caverns in Missouri, gardening, bowling, and visiting with family and friends. Norma loved to read, crochet, cross stitch, garden (house plants, vegetables and flowers) and decorate and redecorate for herself and others. She could brighten any room and turn any house into a cozy and warm home. She routinely made holiday and special occasion cross stitch pictures for everyone that was special to her. Her cross stitch projects were a prized gift. You'd also hear about Norma's latest book, see her beautiful flowers, plants, and the lucky ones would brag about her delicious pumpkin bars during the holidays.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband Gerald and her son Gerald, Jr.
